We've completed our packing -- suitcases are"locked and loaded".
Now all we need to do is pick up our airline flight to Los Angeles, transfer to the ship and sail into the sunset.
We'll post our travel adventures for all to read. Be sure to check our Blog regularly and leave a comment if you're so inspired.
Bon Voyage!

Have a wonderful time kids! Oh, and please force my mom to relax... I know that she can be a challenge sometimes with her "worriwortness", but if anyone can do it, it is Shirley... the queen of cool!

Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving...and then danced away all the calories. All is well here and we are surviving even in your absence. Oscar and Elvie enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving dinner of good old Italian antipasta, salad, turkey w/home made cranberry sauce, baked brussels, mashed potatoes w/gravy, along with home made pumkin pie for a finish. All...ala Linda and delivered hot by yours truly. Weather here remains mild and enjoyable, but we envy you out there in the warmer climate. No one has moved into the RV...yet!! Smooth sailing...

Hello Adventurers!! Greetings from Cedric, Judy, and Alec. I have enjoyed checking up on you so far...want to know how the Zip line was!!?? We had some heavy winds and high surf last few days, apparently came from Hawaii. Still recovering from the surgery and back pain,I'm up and around more with the pain medicine they gave me which helps alot. Hopefully will be back to normal?? by the time you get back. Have more wonderful timjes on your trip, and looking forward to some more photos and updates!

Hi all. Wow it's so great to look in on you. So your gang did't have to hide away in there cabins. I bet Dennis was thinking, " Welcome to my world. This is nothing!" Have fun zip lining. And remember what our guide told us. Don't look up if there lines are rusty. Ill be checking in now and again. Mom wanted me to tell you that gold is at 1200. I'm sure you know that. XOXO Sandy
ReplyDeletewe had dinner with lynn on wednesday and raised our glasses to toast oscar and charlie. these two wonderful men added so much to our lives. they both lived long, and fully, and went to their maker with heads up high. leila, you can feel very good about your wonderful dad, and you can feel very good about how wonderful you were with him, especially these last years. charles
ReplyDeletehow did you enjoy the kippered herring??? yes, i know it takes an acquired taste. andrea can't stand the smell. i have to cook it outside on the grill.
ReplyDeletein buenos aires, you will probably do the touristy things, and that is fine.maybe a good tango show. but i recommend you find a neighborhod nightclub that the locals go to. as in madrid, the local's evening starts around 11p.m. there you will see great tango, as well as singing tango, to the music of the bandelieri. enjoy! i want to hear all the details! charles
p.s. the xmas bmkyc dinner put on by verna and kurt was really good. an enjoyable evening.
I am dying to find out about the zip line adventure... did my mom freak out? I hope she did it! Next is bungy junping...

Hey...great to hear from you guys..some of us were beginning to wonder. So, you are in Chile?? We are too, 'cause here in BMK, it's really been chilly...and we must eat alot of chili just to keep warm. Anyway, Xmas is approaching and all the local elves are putting up their decorations. Lots of colorful lights which I'm certain you'll be able to observe and to enjoy also, especially if in Rio. Anyway, rest easy...all goes well at this end. Glad to hear also that you are financing your trip while underway....that be the "only" way to go...forget the tee shirts and hats...but "hats off" to Shirley for her winnings!

Woo hoo Rosie, you go girl! My goodness, you are all going to be primed for the world poker tournament pretty soon. I am so happy that all of you are relaxing and having a good time. Everything is fine at home, my love and kisses to all of you.

The trip sounds great. Special congrats to Rosie for doing the zip line. We just might have to try a cruise one of these days. A disincentive: they likely don’t allow birds to come along. I (Juliene) have not been doing as much walking as I would like, what with so many walking partners gallivanting around the world. I (Chris) will be especially interested to hear what you have to say about Cape Horn and the passage around it. For some strange reason I have felt drawn to Cape Horn for years and might even get there one of these days.
ReplyDeleteKeep having a wonderful time!
Juliene and Chris
Whow, everyone sounds like they're having a fantastic adventure. About a week and 1/2 to go till we see you and welcome you all home!
